Jeff Staley was the founding DMRA, Inc. Board President from 2010-2014 before becoming the General Manager in 2014.  Jeff played a key role in making Detroit Mountain what it is today under his direction and leadership putting Detroit Mountain on the map as a world class midwest ski area in it’s 2014-2015 inaugural season.  Jeff has also served on the board for the MN Ski Areas Association during his time as GM and continued in that role until 2022.   Jeff joined the Detroit Mountain Ski Patrol & National Ski Patrol on January 1st, 2015 and became OEC certified on November 14th that same year. He has maintained his OEC certification by completing annual continuing education courses and also the annual OEC Refresher.  Jeff is also Toboggan certified and has refreshed annually since 2021.  He remains a dedicated member of the Detroit Mountain Ski and Bike Patrol even though there are numerous ski areas closer to where he now lives in the Twin Cities area. He takes the annual medical and toboggan refreshers here, and also annually works 20 or more patrol shifts as a volunteer at Detroit Mountain.
